Is there a configuration in Workday to set the continuous service date for a re-hire or convert contingent worker? How does Workday set these dates?

Continuous service date is one of several "Service Dates" that can be modified for workers. It's a particularly special service date because it drives the calculation for how long a worker has worked for the company, aka length of service.

One thing I didn't know (but probably should) is what happens to the continuous service date when a worker is rehired or a contingent worker is converted to an employee? Does Workday give any sort of credit for that? The answer from this article says nope!
